SPC states there is a good chance for storms during this time, with sections of Ontario under "enhanced".

I also understand there was a few storms earlier today around my old haunt of Burlington.

Could this be "the day"?

It's exciting but likely wishful thinking. Perhaps the extreme south western of Ontario will see something. Wouldn't mind a nice thunderstorm to start the season off though

First thunderstorm of the year today!! It started around 12:30pm and went for an hour or so. Great to see the storm weather hasn't forgotten about us after that brutally cold February!

well i guess technically the rainfall warning is the first warning across the region :P

Code:
Warnings

3:09 PM EDT Thursday 09 April 2015
Rainfall warning in effect for:

    Barrie - Collingwood - Hillsdale
Midland - Coldwater - Orr Lake
Orillia - Lagoon City - Washago

Periods of rain, at times heavy, are expected tonight and Friday morning. Over some areas, isolated thunderstorm activity may be associated. Rainfall amounts will be variable, with average amounts in the 20 to 30 mm range. However 40 to 50 mm may be possible in some locales due to very heavy rainfall in thunderstorms.

Localized flooding in low-lying areas is possible. Don't approach washouts near rivers, creeks and culverts.

Rainfall Warnings are issued when significant rainfall is expected.

Environment Canada meteorologists will update alerts as required, so stay tuned to your local media or Weatheradio. Email reports of severe weather to storm.ontario@ec.gc.ca or tweet with the hashtag #ONStorm.
and most of southern ontario

also, not exactly on top of us yet, but i noticed just south of ann arbor michigan has a tornado warning active as of 7:30pm and a watch issued for the localized region from Toledo north to Waterford charter township. probably a weak short lived system, but who knows it only about an hour or two from the border.

Just updated

Code:
Watches

7:52 PM EDT Thursday 09 April 2015
Tornado watch in effect for:

Windsor - Leamington - Essex County

Conditions are favourable for the development of severe thunderstorms which may produce tornadoes.

Severe thunderstorms have developed over Lower Michigan and are likely to track into Ontario. The threat of severe thunderstorms should end late this evening.

Be prepared for severe weather. Take cover immediately, if threatening weather approaches.

In the event of a tornado, or if a tornado warning is issued for your area, it is recommended you take the following actions: Go indoors to a room on the lowest floor, away from outside walls and windows, such as a basement, bathroom, stairwell or interior closet. Leave mobile homes, vehicles, tents, trailers and other temporary or free-standing shelter, and move to a strong building if you can. As a last resort, lie in a low spot and protect your head from flying debris.

The Office of the Fire Marshal and Emergency Management recommends that you take cover immediately, if threatening weather approaches.

Environment Canada meteorologists will update alerts as required, so stay tuned to your local media or Weatheradio. Email reports of severe weather to storm.ontario@ec.gc.ca or tweet with the hashtag #ONStorm.

Myself and Scott Burlovich were on the the storm that prompted the tornado watch, it remained surface based over Lake St. Clair and dropped two waterspouts, Dave Sills took the report to OSPC for further action.
