July 17th storm in Ottawa/ Gatineau area
So I came back from camping around 1800 yesterday and they were forecasting 30% of thundersoms on the weather network.. I didnt make much of it as the skies were mostly clear.
At around 1815, I got a call from a buddy syaing there was a Sever Weather warning with winds up to 140kms/h. I looked outside and the line of clouds was coming in over the town. I took my Gopro and cams and headed out south to pick him up. As soon as I parked in front of his house, the storm was rolling in and winds were blowing away signs, making it almost impossible to close my truck door, and creating a massive dust/debris wall to a point I thought it would be safer to stay in the truck a bit. Temperature dropped from 33 celsius to 21 celsius withing minutes. Seeing as we missed the whole storm rolling in and it rained hard, we headed down ton the Aylmer marina area to get a nice view of the Valley. We got there to 3 foot tall rollers and people in panic. Boats were upside down, crashed along the shore, people out sinking in the middle of the river and Rescue teams showed up about 5 minutes after we did.. I have a few pictures and footage I have yet to see since power has been out since. Im typing from work right now. Anyone know where I can find reports and data from yesterdays storm? I want to see how strong the winds were.. My guess is well over 70kms/h from what I saw when I got out the truck. **EDIT** New confirmed that the winds reached up to 95kms/h. Pics to come later!

Hey buddy,
That was wild yesterday! I couldn't believe looking out the window and seeing the wind actually 'move' my parked car...crazy!.. Looking forward to the next chase, I will keep my digital cam closer next time  Awesome!Cheerz! Chris

Hey! Anyone noticed at 0:44 in the Aylmer Video I posted above that a guy with his cooler is actually being blown off his feet and rolling on the ground!????
