Default June 22, 2011 Storm Chase, Large Shelf in Middlesex, mini chaser convergence

This was a really nice chase and first one of the year too so I'm really happy !!!!!
Also possibly the largest unplanned chaser convergence while storm chasing in Ontario today haha

The chase started on the NE side of Middlesex I followed the line from there.

These shots are of the intercept and the shelf coming in, there was some rotation still on the end of a lowered portion along the shelf

I re positioned after this turning left on a small road, shortly after making the left turn and heading down maybe 500 yards Mark Robinson and his friend pull up and take footage at the corner I turned at

There was no rotation but some great upwards motion

After this I head back down the road to get back on the main road I was before to get ahead again , it's then I see Mark by chance for the first time ever, I stop to say a quick hello then head back onto the road.... I go someway and I go to turn left again.
Well who do you think is pulled over facing down the side I am about to drive? Dave Patrick, so I honk and wave though he has no Idea who I am and head down the road a short ways to take some pics and video, Shutter was at 1/8 because light was so low so the pics are a little more blurred than I would like

I then head back down to the main road and notice Dave P is gone so I drive down the road for a bit taking this shot along the way

then a couple minutes after I drove past Tom Stefenac, Dave Patrick and Mark Robinson so I had a good Idea, I got some gas then headed further down the road hoping they would all come and it payed off and I got them all in one pic

I was hoping it was them and it was

And here they are , Dave in front , Mark in the middle and Tom in the rear

I go a bit further down the road getting these shots along the way, there was some rotation in that small lowered portion

And later on as I let the storm go giving up the chase

Here is a youtube video of the day
