Default May 31, 2013 - Severe thunderstorms warnings

Looks like we are going to get another round of storms this afternoon. Barrie is currently in a watch, with a line heading our way.

On the 28th anniversary of the Barrie/Grand Valley Tornadoes of 1985. We shall see how this goes.

Cheers!

Hearing a few rumbles of thunder here in Sturgeon Falls. Also under a severe thunderstorm watch. Looks like the storm is missing town though.

Warning was dropped for Barrie...not much, a few rumbles, gusty and brief downpour...

@ tice23...I'm just down the street from you (Mapleview & Essa)

Hopefully tomorrow brings a better chance...

Yea, the cell coming through Toronto right now is all wind and rain. Mind you, the wind is pretty strong.

Edit: EC says that some of these cells are producing gusts of up to 90 knots (166 km/hour).

I have a good feeling that is a mistake on their part.

Looks like June 1 is the day. Even EC is on board with the cold front coming through tomorrow aft/evening.

slightly off topic...SPC is calling a PDS for tonight in Oklahoma...I don't recall ever seeing "high" probs on most hazards before.

Perhaps some of that is headed this way for the afternoon here?
