A Line of cells were moving straight south and looked to intercept London dead on. I remember on radar it looked like a vertical skinny red snake with yellow edges. I originaly Intercepted the front left side of the line , but realized soon after I wanted to be on the front right. After going through a pea sized hail core I was met with a base with slight rotation heading south. the core was about to munch me so I didn't have much time. Looking west I could see the base, but to my east there was some kind of weird lowering. A tube coming out of the core, the becomes horizontal with a 90 degree angle on the front side.
Here is the view looking North before I turn Left on highbury road ![]() Now under the front side a new core began to dump under a previously Lp base ![]() Here I am making my way to the other side, looking east ![]() Looking Southeast ![]() Here is a crappy vid of the cell after getting out of the Hail core, at the end you will see the weird thing I am talking about 27CDB6E-AE6D-11cf-96B8-444553540000"> Still don't know what to call this... ![]() other pic of the cell ![]() On the way back into town for work..... this updraft exploded on the backside of the core, had a wall cloud to match with some good lifting motions and a teeny bit of rotation ![]() Here is the view form London's NE edge looking east , Nice anvil too. ![]() A flank began to grow and become an updraft on the storms western edge, this thing had a base with some strong lifting motions going on. Wish I could have chased it.... ![]() Nice core over town ![]() |
