There was no tornado. Radar showed strong rotation. Did see some rotation, lots of loud thunder too. First tornado warning in a few years!

Still wondering if anything will fire in Southwestern Ontario today. Cold front timing off?

Strong cap still in place...as the cold front approaches cap will erode...whether storms go up or not is a different question. There is plenty of instability just forcing down this way is quite a bit less than what is in Eastern Ontario. If storms do fire here coverage will be less than in Eastern Ontario however with 0-6km shear values of 40-50kts indicated by the NAM...damaging winds will be possible. Along with extremely heavy rain....my full discussion is here.

Thanks Dave, great outlook.

Looking like storms are starting to appear more north along the coldfront, with new ones popping up down the line as it moves south. Just the waiting game now.

I just got a ton of photos and video footage of the storm that went just west of Toronto and out over the lake. Will upload shortly.
