Severe thunderstorm warning for
Kaladar - Bannockburn - Bon Echo Park continued

At 7:30 PM EDT, meteorologists are tracking a nearly stationary line of thunderstorms that extends from east of Oxtongue Lake southeast towards Sharbot Lake. Very heavy downpours producing local amounts of 40 to 60 mm are likely with these storms. Small hail may also be associated.

Communities in the path include:
Lake St. Peter
Myers Cave
Harlowe
Fernleigh

Emergency Management Ontario recommends that you take cover immediately, if threatening weather approaches.

Local downpours can cause flash floods.

Avoid driving through water on roads. Even shallow fast moving water across a road can sweep a vehicle away. Watch for possible washouts near rivers, creeks and culverts.

Environment Canada continues to monitor the situation closely. Stay tuned to your local media or Weatheradio for further updates. If you would like to report severe weather, you can send an email to [email address].
