Sep.5/14 - storms turn lethal, 1 dead
No wind, but heavy rainfall and WOW is the lightning ever close and thunder LOUD. One cannon-shot of thunder literally had my ears ringing for about 2mins after. I can't believe my truck alarm wasn't set off, although I could hear other car alarms in the neighborhood going off.
The storms don't look like much on radar. They're scattered but have tops at 45,000ft. Great way to start the day, especially since I took it off work!

Oi! Did we ever get some intense lightning strikes! They were striking around the walmart plaza off welland..I think one of them struck the roof and one of them hit a tree (Debris) on the way to drop my daughter off at daycare..it smelled like sulfur everywhere and made me gag...never seen lightning strike so close so many times like that..it actually made me nervous to step out of my vehicle.
