Photos May.27, 2010 - Severe thunderstorms

At York University. Took some photos of the storm clouds rolling in - sorry for the photo quality. I had to use my cell phone and it was hard to get even a somewhat clear shot.

Just heard the first rumble of thunder - was pretty loud! Hopefully (fingers crossed) it'll be a good show.

Wunderground radar to the west of Toronto (near the Peel region) is indicating the presence of a mesocyclone.

Yah those shots you took are the same cell and exactly what it looked like from over here in St. Catharines. I could see it clear straight across the lake.

I was really hopwing because the storm was heading towards the hammer but now it seems like it has died out radar is indicating 41dbz. Hopefully the storm season will speed up soon we have only had 8 storms this year here

That storm that was near pearson int'l was looking okay but then it just started to loose its intensity. It completely disapered before it reached hamilton. Hopefully we will se some storms around monday. I was looking at some models and it is not out of the question

I'm not too sure, but I think I could see that storm on the horizon yesterday evening.

Congrats guys on finally seeing some thunder!
