The following is a list of the equipment I make use of when chasing storms, and much of it I use when just out on the roads in general.  I still wish I had a laptop with a mobile/cell internet connection to get updated radar images though... !

Equipment List :
- Motorola digital/analog cell phone with web browser
- cig. lighter splitter (splits the 1 12V DC socket into 2 120V AC sockets)
- 300 Watt PortAWattz power inverter with 2 110V AC power outlets with cooling fan
- digital Vector compass showing direction and bearing accurate to .5 degrees
- Kestrel 3000 digital anemometer: wind speeds, temperature, dew points, % humidity, heat index, etc...
- Camcorders:
    
Sony CCD-TRV22 camcorder
     Sony CCD-TRV46 camcorder w/extra battery, lots of hi-8 tape

- Cameras:
     Canon EOS 300D (aka. Rebel Digital) digital SLR (6.5 megapixel) - uses same lenses as Rebel 2000 below.
     Canon Powershot G2 digital camera (4 megapixel)
     Compact Flash (CF) cards: 32MB, 128MB, 256MB
    
Canon EOS Rebel 2000 SLR camera, 28-90mm lens, 75-300mm lens, circular polarized filter, sky filter
     Canon Qtb 35mm manual camera with cable shutter release
     Chinon Dual-P automatic camera
- lots of blank film

- Garmin GPS-45 global positioning unit with cig. lighter adapter, dash mounted
- Uniden Bearcat 235XLT scanner with magnetic whip antenna, plugged into power inverter
- pocket voice recorder
- digital temp. reader
- binoculars with enhanced night vision (usually only taken for long hauls)
- 1999 CanWarn atlas
- safety supplies (med.kit, blanket, car winch, flashlight, booster cables, work gloves, etc.. all stuffed into a box in trunk)
- water water water!  (I guzzle when I'm on the road for long periods)
