Found some pictures of this weekend from the area im from in the Lower St Laurent Valley.

First 3 pictures are from St-Flavie, Qc on the St- Laurent.. Ive never seen anything quite like it. The lady who took the pictures said these clouds were rotating on themselves like a horizontal funnel sorta. And the 4th picture is a picture of a very nice funnel that was spotted in Riviere du loup not too far.

Yeah usually they look more like a beaver tail... or wooden spoon. Maybe the river had something to do with it.

I'd put money on that funnel being on the ground

It actually did touch the groud (according to the guy who took the picture) He called it a F0 tornado. But you know..most folks on meteomedia call every single cloud they see a tornado so I called it a funnel as you dont clearly see wether or not it touches the ground in the picture hehe! ;)
