August 5 2010 Windy day on Lake Superior

1760We were enjoying a nice but windy day at Pancake Bay, when we spotted a tall ship on the horizon.
Looks like huge waves.

wow it's really leaned over in the first shot....nice pics nice looking ship too looks like it should be in a movie!

The wind was pretty strong and the ship was moving extremely fast for a sail boat. I found out it's a Dutch ship "Europa" and was one of afew in the area last week. The hazy pic is max zoom with a 200 lens, then zoomed way in on the computer. It really was just a speck on the horizon when we spotted it.
