Nice chase but a bad day for equipment, forgot to charge camera batteries from the previous days I was taking shots and ran out of power right as things started to get good. Still took video BUT the final kick in the teeth was that the lens kept fogging up under the storm making for some hazy video at some points over my already bad quality video cam.

First storm I chased was just begining to dump its core to my south, I punched the core and got to the other side of the storm.
The cell was growing larger and had a base taking shape on its southwestern side with some slight rotation and lift, I was southeast of the base.

Looking north

Looking east

and west at the base

I followed it for awile and it was becoming a larger but more elevated storm. I'm now Southwest of the storm's backside looking at the base to my north east, the portion in the center of the image was rotating nicely.

Then ..... the battery died. I followed the storm for a little bit longer noticing a larger one going up to the west of this one. I drove back southwest fast to get to the storms southern side that looked to have a wall cloud going on. I got to where I needed to be and was surprised by the structure. Strongly rotating area with lift directly to my east headed right for me and a shelf cloud feeding into it to its south. I was thinking for a short while I was going to have a close encounter with some kind of spinup, so I watched and let the rotating base go right over me. The rain core behind it was crazy, the rain did almost an entire 360 in direction over the time it took to pass over me and I could see the different curtains going in different direction with a faint view of the rotating base to my north east. I decided not to follow as it seemed it was becoming elevated as well but was still very happy with what I saw........ I missed out on some really amazing shots though.......figures.

Here is a video I put together of the whole chase

Great shots! Norfolk is good chasing country. I've only been through their once on a chance (Halidmand-Norfolk) but remember it being nice and open. Then again, everything is nice and open compared to here in Niagara.

Oh I am definately spoiled, almost a complete 360 degrees around London is prime for chasing. I recently got some browsing ability on a cell phone I had collecting dust so now I can at least look at radar when I'm out following a storm. So I can finaly increase my distance to chase effectively over longer distances. I've never chased up around the areas north and northeast of Sarnia etc.... hope they're as nice
