AT 1:20 PM EDT FRIDAY 7 JUNE 2013.

SEVENTH TORNADO OF THE SEASON CONFIRMED IN ONTARIO.


ENVIRONMENT CANADA HAS CONFIRMED THE OCCURRENCE OF THE 7TH TORNADO OF
THE SEASON BASED ON THE TESTIMONY OF A TRUCK DRIVER DRIVING ON
HIGHWAY 401 NEAR MALLORYTOWN AT ABOUT 10:30 PM ON MAY 22ND.


THE TRUCK DRIVER EXPERIENCED TRUCK MOVEMENT CONSISTENT WITH THE
PASSAGE OF A WEAK TORNADO. IT IS THEREFORE BEING CLASSIFIED AS A LOW
END EF-0 WITH MAXIMUM WIND SPEEDS AT THE GROUND REACHING 90 KM/H.


THIS IS THE SEVENTH TORNADO OF THE SEASON IN ONTARIO. ONTARIO
NORMALLY HAS 12 OR 13 TORNADOES EACH YEAR IN A SEASON THAT RUNS FROM
LATE APRIL UNTIL EARLY OCTOBER.
