MORE WET WEATHER ON TAP FOR THE START OF THE WEEKEND.
A LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM OVER SOUTHWESTERN ONTARIO WILL CONTINUE TO
GENERATE RAIN OVER MUCH OF SOUTHERN ONTARIO OVERNIGHT.
GENERAL RAINFALL AMOUNTS IN THE RANGE OF 15 TO 30 MILLIMETRES ARE
EXPECTED FROM THIS EVENT. ADDITIONALLY..ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS OVER
SOUTHERN ONTARIO OVERNIGHT COULD PRODUCE LOCALLY HIGHER AMOUNTS UP TO
40 MILLIMETRES OVER THESE REGIONS.
RAIN IS OCCURRING OVER MOST OF SOUTHERN ONTARIO BUT HAS ALREADY
TAPERED TO ISOLATED SHOWERS OVER WINDSOR AND SARNIA. THE RAIN WILL
TAPER OFF EARLY THIS MORNING FOR SOUTH CENTRAL ONTARIO AND THIS
AFTERNOON FOR AREAS NEAR LAKE ONTARIO. RAIN IS EXPECTED TO CONTINUE
THROUGH THIS EVENING FOR AREAS NORTH OF A LINE FROM KINCARDINE TO
PETAWAWA..AND TAPER OFF BY EARLY SUNDAY MORNING.
ENVIRONMENT CANADA CONTINUES TO MONITOR THIS RAINFALL POTENTIAL..
HOWEVER IT IS NOT EXPECTED THAT RAINFALL WARNINGS WILL BE NECESSARY
AS THE FORECAST RAINFALL AMOUNTS ARE BELOW THE ENVIRONMENT CANADA
RAINFALL WARNING CRITERIA OF 50 MILLIMETRES IN 12 HOURS.
