August 2nd, 2000...

The day started off with a bang as The Weather Network reported tornados and funnel clouds all over south western Ontario.  I picked up Paul at work and we headed out on the road around 1pm, deciding to go towards Long Point as severe storms headed in that direction.  All we got was rain.  LOTS of rain.  We drove to Stoney Creek, went south down to Nanticoke, then to Brantford, then took the 403 down to the Woodstock area, and eventually ended up in Tillsonburg.  Amongst other small towns/hamlets were:  Cayuga, Decewsville, Malmoral, Jarvis, Naticoke, Cheapside, Selkirk, Brantford, Norwich, Springford, Delhi, Simcoe, Oakland, Scotland, etc, etc, etc....  and after 380km the best storm we had was back here in St. Kitts.  Figures....
